Hello! Jestem z Bułgarii! Gratuluję Wam tego forum! Jest to najlepsze forum Trabant i cieszę się być jej częścią. Tutaj znalazłem najlepsze informacje i najbardziej odważnych ludzi! Daję ci trabant 1.3 4 gaźnik Na początku było najprostsze 601 S, a nie blokowanie rowerze. Następnie przeszedł podobreneiya z innym motocyklem 4 T 980 ml Zastava / FIAT UNO. Skrzynia biegów 601 okazał się problem. Montaż silnika z Wartburg 1,3 z pudełkiem Korosten. Uznałem, że to nie wystarczyło i miał gaźnik 4, pompy paliwa elktricheska i regulator ciśnienia paliwa. Samochód przeszedł wiele zmian. Foteli, sportowe koło kierownicy, felgi ATS classic, zbiornik w bagażniku, 4 hamulce tarczowe.montaż pompy VW hamulca.

So, my car doesn't look thoroughly on this video, but it was the first start. Under the hood looks messy because, I was testing the mix, between electric instalations of 601 and wartburg"s. I don't have enough space for all gadgets. For this carbs I,ve bilt oilcachtanker, installed electric pump and fuel regulator, they have to stay on place of batery. The batery is going in the trunk. I am using second fusetable for fan,heater,rely for fuel pump, alarm, stereo and etc. It is not so simple. The electronic ignition of wartburg runs heating of old carburator. It was problem for me to find plans of electric system of wartburg 1.3. So I have to test all cabels one by one. The mess is big, and don't judge me about. It will look nice soon. The car will look thoroughly when, every thing will be on place. The car have to run good and stop safely.

I Bulgaria is imposible to finde coupe from trabant 1.1 Hеre are only few trabants 1.1 So I hade to find a way to use what I have got. The frame for engine was cut on two parts. I don't have enough space for diff and use the chance whit cutting of frame So I made place whit whelding of two longer metal pieces. The car goes lower and the engine frame tower.

Actualy to put motor 1,3 is no so easy as it looks. The hard job was frame, after that axels. they are made from half trabant and half wartburg axels . To put 353 is the easier way, but for me the problem is the short gearbox of 601. To change longer 4 th gear and longer diff is very expensive. It coasts more then my motor whit gearbox and other parts. The other way is to find old model gerbox from 600 or old 601, the gears ther are longer. And even in this case the RPMs whit are still high. So I choose 1.3 motor. Some day I have to install Skoda gearbox whit 5 gears. Probably it needs other axels and other shift system.

First I had only front diskbrakes. This combination works very well, untill one day the problems whit rear hubs of 601 has started. I put rear hubs from VW golf and diskbrakes. Frend of mine put 4 disk brakes too. And he found problem. The rear stops a littllebit more and trabant goes spinning in curves. So I put brake regulator on mine and after all the brake pump from 601 does not work whell whit 4 diskbrakes. I bught pump from VW golf 1.3 which is the same as Polo. I have to install it soon.

IMO, you have less problems, maybe even cost if you weld a complete front from VW polo.

Yes it is a way. I'll be glad to come in Poland some day! The way of making whit front part of Polo is in my head from a long time a go.The problems: buget is very low.And now I don't have garage. The second project will be trabant 600 bild on this way. 600's are very rosty and the restauration is hard, so to put Polo-front is easiest way to rise it from the dead. But this are future plans.
